About Us
Our Blood Centre Was Started Way Back In 1991 At Old Government Headquarters Hospital, Pudukkottai. Initially Issued Only Whole Blood To Patients. Then In 2003, A Separate Storage Point Was Setup In Government Raniyar Hospital (OG Unit). In 2003, Our Blood Centre Was Awarded as Best Blood Centre In Tamil Nadu by the Government of Tamil Nadu. In 2015, Component Separation Of Whole Blood Was Started And Patients Were Given Blood Components Like Packed Red Blood Cell, Platelet Concentrate And Fresh Frozen Plasma Separately Instead Of Whole Blood. July 2017, the Blood Centre Was Shifted to Medical College Hospital and Functioning Till Date with adequate stocks of blood componenets like Packed Red Blood Cell, Platelet Concentrate, Fresh Frozen Plasma and Cryoprecipitate
Staff: One Medical Officer, One Staff Nurse/ Shift for Three Shifts and Two Lab Technicians
